What's a PRIMAL Health Coach?

Good morning to all you hard working people out there. I had questions posted on my Instagram page asking what a Primal Health Coach is so I wanted to respond with a post!

 

The excerpt below is from the Primal Health Coaching manual: 

 

The Primal Health Coaching system is based on Integrative Health Coaching (IHC), one of the most well-studied, scientifically validated methods of health coaching. According to Duke University’s Integrative Medicine department, “Integrative Health Coaching empowers clients to make lasting behavior changes that are the cornerstone of lifelong well being. It bridges the gap between medical recommendations and patients abilities to successfully implement those recommendations into their complex lives”. 

 

The primal Health Coaching system will teach you how to help clients make better health choices, make effective diet and lifestyle changes, and achieve their self-defined wellness goals according to Primal Blueprint principles. The aim of the Primal Health Coach is to help clients extract the most joy, satisfaction, and fulfillment from their lives.

 

The ideas and concepts of living a primal lifestyle are not difficult to understand but given the complexity of our lives, human behavior and habits, making lasting changes is in fact very difficult - this is why fad diets and other programs tend to fail people as these are temporary, short-term fixes. 

 

Why You Might Need One!

 

Having a health coach gives you an expert who is trained to work alongside you and provide encouragement, accountability and work with you to figure out the road to health that works for you! There is no “one size fits all” program out there but the the primal approach to living makes sense. Everybody has different starting points. Some people might be doing things pretty well and just need a few tweaks. Other people are starting from square one and have multiple aspects of their lives that needs adjustment to positively affect their health and well being. Drastic changes usually don’t last for people - a gradual approach under the guidance of a health coach can lead to lasting change.
